En la foto vertical está Aristolochia ovalifolia, la cual es una flor que captura moscas, engañándolas con olor a carne, para que efectúen la polinización. La flor rosa pertenece a Krameria secundiflora, de quien se sospecharía que las abejas son sus polinizadores.
Y la flor con el patrón de manchas es Oncidium leucochilum, de la familia de las orquídeas. Las orquídeas tienen el polen guardado en unos saquitos que se pegan accidentalmente en las abejas que las visitan, y que se desprenden hasta que la abeja llega a una nueva flor.

Judge Gee will require ICE to file affidavits explaining cases where they refuse to exercise discretion & release families together. ICE will have to spell out the binary choice they are forcing on these families: remain in ICE prison together or send child alone into a pandemic.

1/ Today, the #Trump administration unveiled sweeping new regulations allowing the government to detain migrant children and families for longer periods of time—essentially bringing the longstanding #Flores agreement to an end. nyti.ms/2CqmiYf
2/ We visited a detention facility holding migrant children and talked to Carlos Holguin—one of the lawyers who spearheaded the push for Flores—about how the agreement came to be and how it’s been implemented in recent years.
3/ In 1985, Holguin and others sued the government over the conditions of detention, leading to 1997's Flores settlement. Years later, Holguin challenged the government again, and Flores was re-interpreted to allow a 20-day timeframe for holding children.
Urgent: Trump admin is seeking to OVERTURN the #Flores settlement, which prohibits the gov’t from detaining immigrant children in detention facilities > 20 days.
This new rule they are seeking would enable the gov’t to detain immigrant children indefinitely with their parents.
