Remember that study from yesterday about how seniors are the most likely to fall for fake news?…
Well #GoFundTheWall guy has built a network of fake news sites to scam the same people who fall for fake news and used it to build a massive email list to raise money from. Via @BrandyZadrozny & @oneunderscore__…
He's not the only one doing this. Probably the other most egregious example is Dan Backer, a Republican consultant with impressive fake news to email conversion side hustle.…

Behind the viral #GoFundTheWall fundraiser, a shadowy email harvesting operation…
The man behind the #GoFundTheWall fundraiser has a long history of "petitions" for causes tied to several GoFundMes and fake news sites hidden behind shell companies and false identities.

Growing the email list is the endgame, leaked texts reveal.…
While GoFundMe is refunding #GoFundTheWall funds, Brian Kolfage also collected cash that was mailed directly to him.

GoFundMe told @BrandyZadrozny it can't refund that money, and it's unclear what will happen to it.…

The alt-right is in an interesting quandary. They want 2 argue #projectbirmingham, a small social media disinfo experiment by a handful of Dem activists affected the outcome in Alabama Senate race ...but not social media disinfo efforts by Russia, a nation state in 2016? #psyops
Some background on #projectbirmingham .... if everything from the original NYT story is true about this domestic disinfo campaign against #RoyMoore then yes I am against this as much as I am against what Russia did in the 2016 elections. #infosec #ALsen
NEW: This is a strong denial from the New Knowledge CEO Jonathan Morgan, including the part about the creation of fake Cyrillic Russian bots ... so someone has some explaining to do #ProjectBirmingham #infosec

The veteran who started the GoFundMe to build the wall didn't think people needed to know about his fake news sites that were shut down after they named the wrong person as the driver that killed Heather Heyer. 1/5 #ScamAlert #GoFundTheWall

The GoFundMe story doesn't mention that:

Brian Kolfage, the organizer, said he didn't want it to be a distraction. 🐂💩 2/5 #WallFunding
Kolfage's sites were shut down after the man they incorrectly named as the driver of the car that killed Heather Heyer sued Kolfage's site Freedom Daily & other right wing sites. 3/5 #FridayThoughts

AWFUL! Angry Leftists Are Now Doxing Contributors to the #GoFundTheWall Campaign
@cspanwj The crowdfunding campaign to fund a wall at the southern border of the US has raised over nine million dollars in three days. Over 150,000 people have contributed to the cause.

Hateful DEMS have one goal, to return to power so that they can achieve their Globalist goals. <SMH>
@cspanwj I had a DEM try to destroy my business using tactics similar to these for 5 years. They have no scruples, they have no conscience, they have no integrity. They place their desires above everyone and everything including our country.

New from me + @BrandyZadrozny:

The guy behind #GoFundTheWall didn't mention the right-wing sites he owned that were banned by Facebook two months ago, or his Fight4FreeSpeech group (also accepting donations!) in his GoFundMe for the wall.

I asked him.…
Here's some of the articles on the now-dead sites owned by the guy who created #GoFundTheWall.

This is how the guy behind #GoFundTheWall plans to get the money to the White House.

Last night, @HoarseWisperer joked about a GoFundMe to buy ladders in response to this border wall nonsense. I laughed but then thought: "Wait, why not?"

We've now raised $13,000 for, um, "ladders". (Actually going to @RAICESTEXAS).

UPDATE: @RAICESTEXAS loves the project, and we're in the process of adding them to the GoFundMe page as a team member to withdraw the funds directly when the time comes.
And we've just hit $20,000.
