Recently, Avenatti was hit with a $10 mil judgment in bankruptcy court.

The night before depositions in that case, a Florida man filed a petition from a PO box in Orlando threatening to derail proceedings. (A move that benefitted Avenatti at the time.)

The Florida man's sworn declaration was never filed in court or notarized. A judge at a bankruptcy hearing said the petition had a “stench of impropriety" and refused to halt the arbitration.

Avenatti halted the arbitration anyway.

According to a lawsuit against Avenatti, the Florida man's P.O. Box was set up the day before the petition was filed w/cash.

Avenatti denied orchestrating the petition.

The Florida man couldn’t be reached for comment, and his lawyer in a pending criminal case declined to comment.

CNN also took a look at the Florida man. "He's a convicted felon whose rap sheet is 15 pages long." He signed an NDA w/Avenatti's firm.

Avenatti's response?

"This is a complete sideshow and has nothing to do with my present work or cases. Who cares?"

WSJ reports that Florida man filed the petition without a lawyer.

CNN reports his education is listed as "high school general equivalency diploma" and his last job as "don't remember."
