I was robbed last night

It was at the bridge above Berger roundabout in Abuja. I had parked to send a short message. A young boy passed, pushing a cart. He looked tired. I stopped him and gave him N1k. He thanked me and left.

About 3 minutes after, just as I finished and about leaving the spot, a guy came wearing a black 'coat', and flung open the passenger side door. It was not locked as the central lock engine has been bad. In panic, I screamed, and tried to start the car. I was confused.

To free my right hand, I threw the phone on the passenger side seat. He grabbed it, my bag and the N19k that was remaining on the seat. I didn't realize the car had been on. I switched it off. Then on. I was too confused to push the gear to drive. I even put on the CD player.

By the time I gathered myself to drive, he was gone. I moved forward a bit. Reversed. Was almost entering the ditch. Then did a u-turn on the express, hoping to see him. He was gone.

I drove ahead, just about 30 seconds, where two men were fixing their car. I told them.

The men said that area has always been dangerous, and they were hoping to fix their car and move.

I drove straight to a friend's place. He accompanied me back to the spot. We didn't find anything or anyone (we were hoping they would have thrown the bag somewhere).

We then went to the @PoliceNG checkpoint at Berger roundabout to report. The patrol team immediately went to the spot. Nothing or no one was found. The police told us I should be thankful they didn't collect my car or stab me. That many had suffered such fate. Some died.

I am still in shock. I barely slept. Still can't figure how I feel.

I know they'd typically throw away the bag and purse. Just in case anyone sees it. There's a GTB Platinum MasterCard in it, like this👇. The name on it is 'Adebukola Shonibare'.

Also, three @gtbank tokens; and some 'Girl Child Africa' complementary cards, are in the bag, with the name 'Bukky Shonibare.' And, in my purse, there are two US Debit Cards, my PVC, my Driver's License, etc.
