I can’t figure out if I’m stupid or most blockchain white papers are written by obfuscating morons.
Literally the only hint I have that it’s them not me: I know $ doesn’t mean “italics” in LaTeX.
I feel like some of these people once read an academic paper and they couldn’t understand it, so they decided writing incomprehensible papers means you’re “academically serious”.
It is so hard to write a paper that people can intuitively understand. And such a valuable skill. It sucks that so many people in this space are chucking that value under the bus.
And the worst part is not the scammers. I see this from people who I recognize as being legitimately smart. But they are deliberately obfuscating their work to produce gibberish.
