Our righteousness before God must be His righteousness, not our own, or it is not of faith:

"For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God" (Romans 10:3).

How GOD sees it when moral, religious people use the Bible to justify themselves APART from faith in the Lord Jesus Christ:

Jesus to the religious leaders: “[Ye] Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of Me” (John 5:39).

Jesus, the only begotten Son of God, was sent by the Father; but man’s fallen nature ONLY recognizes and receives its OWN:

“How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?”

God met Moses face-to-face; Moses was a true prophet of JHVH.

And JESUS said: “there is one that accuseth you, even MOSES, in whom ye trust” (John 5:45).

We need the Lord Jesus Christ, of Whom the Law spoke in the sacrifices, and to Whom Moses referred when he marked Him out:

“The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto Him ye shall hearken” (Deuteronomy 18:15).

And Moses by the Spirit of God immediately REPEATS this; he is talking about the Messiah, the Christ to come:

“the LORD said unto me…I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put My words in His mouth; and He shall speak unto them all that I shall command Him” (Deuteronomy 18:17,18).

This "Prophet" is the Messiah, who is the Lord Jesus Christ.

“He shall speak unto them all that I shall command Him”—The scriptures refer to Jesus Christ as the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last; that He is the Word of God.

Jesus said, “I am Alpha and Omega”—He is the whole alphabet of God: whatever God has to say to Adam's race, He says it in the Person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ, Who died in our place for our sins and rose again.

We cannot approach God apart from this Jesus.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave [JESUS]” (John 3:16):

Mark 10:45 For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

How then can any say that we can be delivered and justified before God APART from faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, except they are a liar?

We have NOTHING apart from faith in this Jesus: Romans 4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

This is important to see: the scriptures are NOT divided into TWO ways to God.

Jesus said, “For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed Me: for he wrote of Me” (John 5:46).

Jesus didn’t come to patch up an old garment, but to give us a new one—the robe of HIS righteousness:

Romans 10:4 For Christ is the [goal] of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

WE cannot ascend into heaven to bring Christ down; WE cannot descend into the depths to bring Christ up from the dead: God has done this Himself in our behalf; He has provided Himself a Lamb.

You search the scriptures to justify yourself, but what does it say?:

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9).

Our righteousness is GOD’s responsibility:

Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth [on JESUS] unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

The world will not accept that which is not of its own; therefore the world will hate us with demonic hatred, as it hated Him.

But we have what is most precious and sure—the Lord Jesus Christ: Romans 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

We have believed on this Jesus; we will not fear:

Isaiah 28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
