Larger issue is pervasive denial/ignorance about the fact that the vast majority of Americans receiving government assistance like SNAP are White. The mythology of White supremacy won’t allow acknowledgement of the sheer magnitude of White poverty or any efforts at remedying it.

Opposition is 72 - 24 percent among black voters and 72 - 25 percent among Latino voters.

Texas voters support 55 - 41 percent stricter gun laws in the U.S. and support 94 - 5 percent requiring background checks to all gun buyers.
