Ight I've gotten 300+ followers in the last 24 hours so let's keep the ball rolling. A lot of people want to make $$ online, but lack the crucial SKILLS necessary to do so. If you want to succeed, you need to cultivate these skills.

How To Cultivate PROFITABLE Skills

THREAD
Everyone loves to focus on learning the actual biz model. Necessary knowledge, yes. But what's much more important is the SKILLS they require. This is difficult and actually takes effort, which is why most people fail.

Don't be most people.
Every biz model is different and requires a unique set of skills. Affiliate marketing, e-commerce, dropshipping, freelance copywriting, social media marketing, info marketing, all of these are biz models.

While different, many of the skills required are the same.
Some examples of these skills are:

* Sales/persuasion
* Copywriting
* Organic traffic
* Paid traffic
* Social media advertising
These "online biz skills" fall into two basic categories:

(1) Traffic
(2) Offer

Traffic = getting the right people to your offer (marketing)
Offer = converting these people from visitors to buyers (sales)
Regardless of the biz model, you need traffic + an offer.

What kind of traffic and what kind of offer is dependent on the biz model. But the principles remain the same. You must be able to craft a compelling offer people actually want, and be able to get them to it profitably.
Some biz models are heavier on the traffic side (i.e. affiliate marketing), some are heavier on the offer side (i.e. info marketing), and some are more 50/50 (i.e. dropshipping).
Before you start building a business, you have to figure out where your time will be best spent. What skills will move the needle? How can you learn them?
For example:

Let's take dropshipping.

It's pretty evenly split b/w traffic and offer.

On the traffic side, the skill you need is paid traffic. Facebook ads/IG shoutouts most likely.

On the offer side, the skills you need are copywriting/sales + product/market research.
Great! You know the skills you need to cultivate to be successful at dropshipping.

Now you must learn them.
There are a few ways to cultivate skills:

* Taking courses
* Finding mentors
* Reading books

Or, my favorite:

* Doing a fucking Google search

Usually a combination of these is best.
To cultivate skills, you must be willing to sacrifice time and money. I'm not sure why this is a foreign concept to people since they'll happily spend tens of thousands of dollars + 4 years in college to learn essentially ZERO valuable skills, but whatever.
Once you have a baseline understanding of these skills, you can start putting them into action. You do NOT need in-depth knowledge. That comes when you actually do stuff and learn from experience.

Start that business now, learn the rest later.
So many people skip this part, then wonder why they fail.

It's because you didn't bother to:
(1) Figure out what skills you need to succeed in the first place, or
(2) Actually take the time to go out and learn them
While different skills are required for different biz models, one that is required for ALL of them is sales/persuasion/copywriting.

If you don't know what biz model you'd like to start with, start here.

It's the most valuable skill ever and is applicable to everything.
That said, it's exactly what I talk about on my email list.
