So a few days ago the wise devs at Star Citizen, seeking to find more ways to extract money from their whales, removed the in-game currency cap.

Used to be 150K max.

Now it's 25K per day max. Forever. As these things go, hilarity ensued.

Meanwhile, over at the tribal council, even the hardcore whales were up in arms because suddenly that whole P2W thing kinda hit them hard.

Not only was it an unannounced change, but CIG community staff didn't even know about it. They had to go check with the devs to make sure they weren't being trolled (For the record, I had nothing to do with that).

This line came in an official communications from a company that's scammed over $190M from gamers and even after 7 yrs, can't get a game out.

"But, hey, it’s the internet and people have to complain about something!"

That's not even the half of it. In the name of on-going fundraising, they are admitting game is purely P2W (we knew this), are OK with newcomers being outclassed, and have NO issues with whales stacking $25 per day - forever - so they can "fund the development" and kill noobs

The latest dev schedule now goes to 2019. And still alpha.
