Business owners need to be problem-solvers

Every biz owner needs to think about the problems NOT being solved in their market

- What can you do BETTER? DIFFERENT?

- What's MISSING?

- What do people COMPLAIN about?
Whenever people say, "I wish...." they're talking about a market OPPORTUNITY

"I wish cabs were cheaper and easier to use" ==> Uber

"I wish I didn't have to go all the way to the video store" => Netflix

"I wish it didn't take me so long to cook" ==> Blue Apron

"I wish it wasn't so hard to find a quality woman after being divorced"

"I wish I could make $10,000 month online from any location"

"I wish I could get a 6-pack without eating boring foods"
How do you make money?

You make money when your skills solve these problems

And the more painful and urgent and big these problems are, the more money you can charge

I've made several changes this month

- 2 new niches sites
- 3 new VAs
- Cutting daily emails down to 3
- Increase focused on paid group coaching
- Updated positioning

And more..

But I don't consider them changes

The point is to continuously EVOLVE over time
A lot of young people and new business owners get stagnant

You're not consciously evolving or growing

It's not going to happen every day

And a year is too long for a meaningful feedback loop

But I'm sure you can make progress every single week

Yes - EVERY week
Birthdays are only once a year

New Year's is only once a year

Summer is only once a year

We like to think about our lives during these events

But they don't happen often

Shorter feedback loops will force you to grow faster

THREAD // Making Friends Is Easier Than You Think

Had a great time with @MyLatinLife @NomadicHustler and @_RobORourke at dinner last night

It's easy when you're in school

But a lot of people seem to have trouble making new friends as they get older
The school environment is conducive to friendship because you spend so much time together

You share classes, activities and meals together so it's easy to find your tribe

Because you're younger, your standards are also low

You haven't refined who you are and what you want
As you get older and finish school, you're not really forced to be anywhere except work (if you work in an office)

A lot of people struggle with making new friends because they don't SEEK OUT additional activities that put them in environments where they can make friends

All the sudden overworked, underpaid farmers somehow have a lot of time on their hands.

They find the time to creep these women's mentions.

They find the time to make & admin multiple parody accounts per month.

They find the time to send rape threats.
I think it's really important to remember difference btwn mental health problems caused by biology, & those caused by destroying relationships thru poor behavior & expectations, toxic beliefs abt what makes you a worthwhile person, & getting paralyzed by machismo.

I have been sharing the House and Senate Majority releases for almost a year now (I think) and am in an interesting place. I feel for continuity and fair play (non-partisan dissemination of information) I need to continue this course. Let me know what you think in my poll.

On that stupid freelancer article... I’m a freelancer by choice (though I never applied for a full time job and I’m probably unemployable).
Before I could make a living as an artist, I worked as a model for skeavy photographers and a gogo dancer (something Sputnik recently mentioned in an attempt to discredit me for something or other).
I was a terrible student and saw work as an extension of that. I couldn’t deal with having to show up someplace to work, and act polite and obedient all day while being on my feet, so I pursued every method no matter how laborious or filled with sexual harassment to avoid a job

Thinking about printing up a pamphlet for micro-/small-business owners and individuals called, "SO YOU'VE DECIDED TO HIRE A LAWYER. HERE ARE THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW."
1. YOU HAVE TO PAY YOUR LAWYER. This seems obvious to a lot of people, but some people think lawyers are different because we provide our time and expertise to solve your problems. If you agreed to pay, you need to pay.
2. REALLY. PAY YOUR LAWYER. Among the amusing things lawyers can do is put liens on your files, sometimes even your cases and property, and suck the money out of you piece by piece.

1/ Reading books is a form of procrastinating for me
2/ Books are a tool; they aren't something to obsess over. You can learn a lot, however unless you directly apply that to you and your goals/problems, they are pretty useless.

Ok, here I am. I'll write down some bullet-points. This isn't a rebuttal of your article (no time for that, at least not now): it's just my own list of arguments about what specifically I think makes you, and every other bcasher who isn't intentionally malicious, stupid.
1) Bitcoin is one of the greatest financial opportunities in human history. If anyone interested in wealth & misses it/fucks up w/ it, qualifies as stupid. I get from your other tweets that you're not interested in wealth (I am), so at least this point doesn't really concern you.
2) Bitcoin is one of the greatest opportunities for the advancement of personal freedom in human history. I think whoever qualifies as a "libertarian" in the anglo-saxon "free market" tradition (I guess this is the case for you) & misses it/fucks up w/ it, qualifies as stupid.
