The US needs a national dialogue on race, gender and class. A conversation on par with the Truth and Reconciliation Commissions in ZA, RW and CA. I'm calling it Truth and Conciliation and my goal is 2021.

If you read the US Constitution from preamble through the 27th Amendment, you will note that it contains 51 gender specific male pronouns (he, him & his) re: who can run for office, hold office, & even who is protected by the Constitution.

(2) Children's sermon was nice today, we'll start there. Time: when too late, bad things happen (kids talked about tardy slips). When too early, one must wait. Pastor says he can waste money, waste effort, but what he hates most is wasting time. God only gives us so much of it. >
(3) "Time, once gone, is gone forever. Time is blessing from God" I'll add - I've been at bedside of dying. No one wants anything but time, w people they love. Nothing else matters. That's why I live as if I may die tomorrow. I honor my loved ones when I LIVE. I'm still here. >

People assume I'm a guy or that it's not my real name. Because I am female they tend to try and make it feminine...so they pronounce it Joanie and when corrected like to respond with "but it sounds more manly or butch the other way" 😑 the other way being the right way.
I've never been self-conscious or hated my name...I'm quite proud of it. My full name is Johnnie Jamilynn. I'm named after some great Native men in my family. My first name belonged to my grandpa and Jamie and Lynn were the middle names of my uncle David and uncle Mike.
It's always been an honor to share their names because growing up they were my father figures until my mom met the man who became my DAD.....funnily enough his name is John.
