I've no doubt the others in this thread are real. It's common for someone who's been found out about this sort of thing to back and scrub their history. She just did a poor job.

Which also makes it likely she's got a second, non-professional account. I can only imagine what's on that that one. Now to see how your favorite MTG personalities treat this. Many of them have rich interactions with her, and also constantly post/RT anti-right material.

The appropriate response to this isn't "separate the art from the artist." It's a hard sever.

RTing how much you hate the right and everything they do is easy. The hard part is taking a stand when it's someone you know and like. What will Magic do?

All of those accounts are hard alt-right. InfoWars is Alex Jones, Sandy Hook truther and overall dangerous person. Cernovich is a white supremacist. Veritas is a (federally convicted) propaganda machine

Yesterday I started a thread about Terese Nielsen. She's deep into the alt-right conspiracy world. You can find the start of that thread here:

There's more. I decided to do some quick digging. We know Nielsen's wife is named Dawn, as is referenced here, on her official page. It's also on Nielsen's Twitter regularly. One of the first accounts Nielsen followed on Twitter was her wife.

Let's take a look at Dawn's account. We don't exactly need to hunt for clues.

You'll recognize O'Keefe and Alex Jones from yesterday. Then we check her follows, and it gets worse.

Paul Watson is ultra-level conspiracy. Sather is all about anti-vax, deep state, fluoride, and Qanon (lol). Posobiec, Coulter, and Cernovich are known dangerous alt-right members

Now look. Are there any tweets, on Nielsen's or Rickabaugh's TLs, about hating black people, etc? No. (Although there's anti-BLM) But you'll typically only find those tweets on the most ardent nazis. That doesn't mean those other people aren't in league with it.

All these accounts they follow and favorite are deep into alt-right conspiracy land, and the overlap between that content and shit eugenics is basically a perfect circle. If someone follows 40 MTG-related accounts, we don't need them to tweet "I like Magic" to know that.

We can also look back at the screenshots in that original thread to see evidence that Nielsen had more MAGA on her TL, but has since removed a lot of it. That's obviously intentional. She's aware people found it, and is trying to hide it. Anyone heard of her disavowing it? (No.)

People were quick yesterday to point out that it's common for people to follow people they don't like, or that faving tweets doesn't mean they like them. That doesn't hold water very often. First, neither of them are following any left-leaning accounts, so there's no balance.

And more importantly, stop contorting yourself to give them every benefit of the doubt. They both follow a lot of hard alt-right accounts. They favorite them. Rickabaugh SAID she voted for Trump. There's no puzzle to be solved. They're both alt-right, and all that entails.

This past week has had "the n-word tape" in the media a lot, and there are a lot of people excited for it to come out because they'll finally have proof the president is racist. What? Like everything he's said and done in the last two years isn't proof enough?

This is the same situation. People are looking at Nielsen and Rickabaugh for a smoking gun, but, it's right here. This is it. There's a preponderance of evidence that they follow and agree with the beliefs of the hard alt-right. And they're responsible for what that means.

In fact, they must REALLY believe in this stuff. Rickabaugh even comments on voting for Trump as a lesbian. Because what gay person would? Pence has one of the most staunch anti-gay perspectives in Washington. Pence would gladly execute both, yet they voted him into office.

If you're a fan of Nielsen this is hard to swallow, but there's no other way to take this. She and her wife stand for everything the right does - concentration camps for kids, anti-vax, pizzagate, you name it. It's all in there. They're telling you who they are. Listen.
