What horrific and sad news. Argentina’s largest newspaper, Clairín, is reporting Elizabeth, a 24-year-old mother of two, has died from septic shock and an infection after trying to induce a miscarriage with parsley. May she rest in power. #AbortoLegalYa thecut.com/2018/08/one-wo…
Elizabeth's death is a tragedy, yet completely avoidable with access to safe abortion. One week ago, Argentina's Senate voted not to legalize abortion in the country. This is what happens when patients don't have access to health care. #AbortoLegalYa nytimes.com/2018/08/09/wor…
Once again we see why calling those who oppose access to safe abortion “pro-life” is a misnomer. Deaths due to unsafe abortion just about disappear when abortion is legalized. Hopefully that’s not too far in the future for Argentina. #AbortoLegalYa
