5/ @bjgalloway1717, a former white supremacist organizer who has since left the movement and now studies it from the outside, told us that playing into the paranoid mindset promoted by InfoWars was essential to recruiting new members.
6/ After getting real into InfoWars, Daily Stormer founder Anglin said in the interview that he then became immersed in the forums of the anarchic online message board 4chan, which evolved from a place to talk about Japanese cartoons into a haven for the racist far right.
7/ We wanted to learn more about 4chan’s role in promoting extremism, so we filed a FOIA request with the FBI asking for all their documents about the site. The agency’s response was lacking, to say the least, so we’re suing to get our hands on the records.
