I want #MollieTibbetts 's murderer to rot in hell, however, the undocumented narrative may be a falsehood.
This is a motion for gag order filed by his lawyer asking a judge to issue an order to stop referring to him as undocumented, because he is LEGAL. Reads for yourself
Murder is wrong.
Violence is wrong.
Murder and violence against women is a REAL ISSUE.

The @rcfp asked a federal judge to unseal any Assange records that do exist. The govt's filing today opposes that, arguing it's premature absent confirmation that there is a case at all — and they say the First Amendment + common law don't require the govt to disclose that now

Recall that the judge's TRO on Friday did not end the case — it was just temporary relief (see: buzzfeednews.com/article/paulmc…) This filing indicates the White House is preparing to dig in as the case goes to the next stage, which is CNN's motion for a preliminary injunction
So given the White House's letter to Acosta on Friday, CNN is asking the judge to set an expedited schedule for briefing and a hearing on the preliminary injunction motion

See Mission Power Eng. Co. v. Continental Cas. Co. (C.D. Cal. 1995) (noting that such motions are used abusively and are “rarely justified.”) They require specific procedures (not followed by Cohen) & are for when the normal notice process would result in irreparable harm. 2/
Further, the moving party must show they aren’t at fault in creating the need for ex parte relief. Here, #Avenatti has been vocal for months. #Cohen and his goober lawyer fail to explain why they waited this long to file instead of bringing a noticed motion. 3/
