KP govt (2013-18) performance has been subject of great interest. Here are a few snapshots of PK led govt performance in governance & institution building.

Same task forces IK setting up in center, KP govt had also formed working groups for major reforms & they took painfully longer. LG elections took 2 years against promise of 3months & took a year to setup KPEC.

KP government spent an awful amount of time drafting laws (about 182). Hurried legislation led to a large number of amendments: KPEC law amended 7 times in 4yrs, Pedo law changed to protect its deposed CEO, TEVTA law to protect a JV with PAF.

Legislation process was haphazard and done without giving proper thought. A senior official who was part of the Conflict of Interest bill drafting says the PA passed the bill even before they were able to deliver required copies to members. They passed it without reading the bill

Also they spent a huge amount of time building new institutions instead of existing one work and set up KPEC, KPOGCL, EZMDC, BOIT & TEVTA and all failed while nearly destroyed BOK and Pedo with cronyism.

KPOGCL failed to produce even a single barrel of oil in 5yrs despite wasting hundreds of millions of rupees.

KPEZDMC board was dissolved December last year after they failed to deliver. The company bosses had claimed to setup 16 industrial estates & create 200,000 jobs till 2019, but failed to achieve even a single target.

An unscrupulous minister & unprofessional MD tarnished Bank of Khyber image by printing page length allegations against each other in newspaper. The issue was settled by printing apologies in newspapers & inquiry report never presneted before PA.

Pedo CEO tasked with transforming the entity into vibrant organization was not himself qualified for the post & appointed in violation of rules & PHC declared his appointment null and void.
