Um, this is not "civil disobedience". Civil disobedience means refusing to obey unjust laws, like Thoreau refusing to pay taxes, or Rosa Parks refusing to sit in the back fo the bus, or Gandhi not disobeying the many British laws, like salt making.
The correct name for the above incident is simply "protest". But a better description is "make an ass out of yourself in order to get Facebook/Twitter/YouTube hits". It's no more intellectually rigorous than ....
I grew up believing in certain principles like civil disobedience, free speech, rule of law, etc. Social media seems to have changed all that. In the old days you were lucky to get a blurb in a news story "protestors disrupted hearings today". Now you get Facebook hits.
