Good morning from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, where lawyers for the federal government and Russian cyber firm Kaspersky are about to face off before a three-judge panel over Kaspersky's request to invalidate a government-wide ban on its products.

Stay tuned.
Oral arguments are over and it sure seemed like the judges were more skeptical of Kaspersky's arguments than the government's.

K tried to argue that the ban was an unconstitutional bill of attainder. Judges seemed to accept USG argument about national security risks.
More to come in my story.
Well, that explains why there were so many cameras outside the federal courthouse this morning.
