NEW: UK excl interview with Governor Mark Carney for #BBCNewsTen

- Johnson deal “net economic positive” for taking away No Deal disorderly Brexit “tail risk”
- “Different” pol declaration means Econ impact “remains to be seen”..wouldnt “overlap” with closest version of May deal
-asked Governor how a deal involving customs checks and other frictions could result in a bigger economy under the Bank’s model than May’s deal.

Says PD “somewhat different” and that being diplomatic, “wouldn’t be overlap” between new Johnson deal and closest version of May deal
- also confirms although aim is for a free trade deal - “there's not a guarantee that it would be developed...” and if not then go to WTO a deal “removes some uncertainties” but “Certainly a lot of uncertainty would remain” which “would have an impact on the economy”

There are an approx 2,000 foreign IS fighters currently held in prisons in N E Syria. Those prisons are now at risk. The Islamic State Group was born in prisons, it’s leadership got out, organised, and brought terror to the region and the world. This is a counter terrorism crisis
A useful reminder of the birthplace of IS. It was only ten years ago!…
I’ve spent years visting these prisons and speaking to IS suspects. Time after time they talked about being broken out of jail. IS did it before, and it’s supporters expect them to do it again.

At end of a big day - seems Johnson's proposals being greeted with unlikely, but maybe - concerns about DUP having veto, leaving issues unresolved until transition, lack of detail on customs checks and disruption for NI even if customs checks take place no where near the border
No 10 will be relieved EU hasn't said a big fat no immediately, and hints from Brexiteers, DUP and a trickle of Labour MPs saying they might sign on the dotted line - but blimey, it's a hell of a lot to imagine being sorted in 10 days
And with option of delay on the table, it seems, right now more likely, the EU will decide to wait and see- extension/election/new world - if Tories are biggest party maybe these proposals would be start of next negotiation - if not, then there is a chance Brexit might not happen

Just seeing a glimpse of #InsideEurope about Cameron's negotiation - last three and a half years of my life flashing before my eyes...definitely worth a full watch like the rest of the series
I remember being rushed up in a goods lift for a last minute interview with PM when they finally thought they had a deal, after Merkel had gone for chips, then it got suddenly moved, then news of Gove going to lead Vote Leave came through... then, the rest....
rather a lot of which feels often like a bit of a blur, so lucky #bbcnewsten is on in a minute to make it all clear!

This all started because the #MetPolice & #LBRUT couldn't do their jobs properly & then decided to take the law into their own hands. The result of this decision has led to events stranger than fiction

My company was raided. It should have been a straightforward matter. But the #MetPolice & #LBRUT forgot to seize my computer & came back to do a 2nd raid. The search warrant didn't permit a second entry, however, #LBRUT entered unlawfully

#Guardian #Telegraph #DailyMail #GMB #UK
Complaints were then made to my MP #VinceCable. He liaised with the #Metpolice & #LBRUT. And then weeks later, the search warrant was completely changed & was passed off as the search warrant executed on the day of the raids.

An honour to travel back to Syria with photographer Ricardo Vilanova, he spent 8 months in an IS jail, held for a time by “The Beatles”. On ⁦@BBCNews⁩ he returns to face the men accused of the crime.
It’s the first time Ricardo has told the story of his imprisonment at the hands of men he describes as “lunatics” & “psychopaths”.
Ricardo Vilanova never wanted to become a part of the story. He’s been following the Syrian revolution and conflict since the start. And though he won’t like me saying this, he has shown remarkable courage. Watch #bbcnewsten
