A plea for reflection, compassion, and the removal of politics from this process.

2) Imagine what it must feel like for them to be in the cross-hairs of this.
3) Who is Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who says a “stumbling drunk” high school peer, Brett Kavanaugh, held her down, groped her and tried to take off her clothes (presumably to rape her) before she escaped?

As everybody knows her social media presence has been “scrubbed.”

This is the last place I ran alone & carefree. A thread on Mollie Tibbetts and running alone as a woman.
I didn’t always love running. It wasn’t until I got to college that I realized just how helpful it was for my mental health.
When I got depressed, instead of smoking a cigarette I would run (err, most of the time). I put my headphones in, spandex shorts & t-shirt on, and I would run circles in a small neighborhood off campus.

It should give everyone pause that this is the growing sentiment among those of us who have railed itinerantly for years about what is now clearly arriving.
Honestly, many of us are tired of sounding an alarm and having the world hit snooze.

The number of blank stares and the amount of times people insist that it's "Not as bad as all that" is exhausting
For years we have been methodically pointing out how our checks and balances are being degraded, how mainstream fascism is taking hold, how news and Congress would clear its path, how quickly unthinkable behavior would become commonplace.

But we're here now.
