I cannot believe I am about to say this. I really cannot. TW: rape culture, Bill Cosby
It is APPALLING to see this discourse around Bill Cosby. How dare any of you suggest that this man should walk free because other white rapists do?
Bill Cosby is a rapist. I understand that our justice system is flawed and is weighted against black people, but this just ain’t it. He deserves to go to prison.
And so does every white rapist in this country. Black liberation does not mean that Black people should not go to prison for crimes they commit. It means that we all will be treated equally in a justice system that reflects our societal expectations.
Black liberation cannot be accomplished if we do not protect survivors by putting away their assaulters.
Bill Cosby deserves to go to prison.
Kavanaugh should go to prison.
Weinstein will hopefully be sentenced to prison.
