Because of the convergence of so many major stories, this one isn’t getting the attention it deserves except within the world of the Catholic hierarchy and Catholic press. This portends a great deal, and underscores why @Pontifex delay re Wuerl (and the washingtonpost.com/world/national…
decision to leave Wuerl as “Administrator”) was so disastrous. DOJ officials have obviously decided the dioceses cannot be trusted to have come clean, even when they are administered by new reformers. The Wuerl record in Pittsburgh was so awful re hiding facts from Review Board
it is difficult to see what the DOJ could do other than pursue this federal case, and it doesn’t seem likely to end with just Pennsylvania. @Pontifex still appears clueless as to what it means to have the U.S. DOJ treating the Church as a potential criminal conspiracy.

From one of military buddies: "A couple points to consider about the Chang'i 4 landing. One, China's space program is controlled by the Party and by their military. There is no civilian aspect to it.
Second, the southern and norther poles of the moon are critical for a number of reasons. One is that there is water there in the form of ice in the permanent shadow of deep craters. This water will be important for building permanent bases on the moon.
Third, the poles are important military positions because there are places at the poles that can always look down on the earth with sensors and weapons. China's landing at the southern pole at the Aiken Basin is a key military strategic achievement.

Been thinking about why so many people buy into gender ideology despite it having no basis in reality and cant help but draw parallels to capitalism. Both fuel cognitive distortion and dissonance and use fear and ego to uphold oppressive hierarchies.
IMO gender is as real as the economy. Both are bullshit concepts that oppress by creating unjust hierarchies. Patriarchy is upheld by adherence to gender (sex stereotypes that have no basis in reality); capitalism is upheld by similar distortions of reality.
Both gender and financial status are used to justify and maintain power inequality. Both reward undeserving individuals an unfair advantage. Both are damn near impossible to escape. Both have no rational basis, yet massively influence social discourse.

1. Aaron Blake argued that the investigation into Trump’s Kremlin ties won’t end well, because nothing Robert Mueller discovers will satisfy anyone. Republicans will reject evidence pointing to criminal conspiracy while Democrats will reject evidence pointing to absolution.
2. Blake: For all the talk about Trump's actions triggering a constitutional crisis or even a war, the most likely crisis is the one that will arise from the political purgatory we'll find ourselves in once Mueller and other officials are finished investigating.

Governments from around the world had donated to the “Charity”. Yet, from 2001 to 2003 none of those “Donations” to the Clinton Foundation were declared. Hmmm, now you would think that an honest investigator would be able to figure this out.
