Real talk:
You do not have to be fully recovered to be proud of yourself.

I find a lot of people put themselves down with every little setback when overcoming something so toxic in their life, but I’ll have you know that even the littlest of change is something to be proud of.
For me - I’ve been battling an eating disorder for almost 2 years now and TRUST ME, although I’ve yet to find my ultimate strength...From when I was first diagnosed to now I’ve seen so much improvement. SO MUCH.
When I first got into the unfortunate habit of binge eating and purging, it happened 5 times a day, 7 days a week. If I felt any discomfort at all even in the middle of the night I would be over the toilet in seconds because I felt as if I DESERVED to harm myself in such a way.
To this day I’ve allowed myself to understand I don’t deserve this and the amount of symptoms have decreased greatly. I’ve gotten the help needed and I’m on the right path. Recovery is slow, but it is most definitely possible. Just keep on doing whatchu gotta do 💘
