The regulation would allow (but not require states to make peeing in cups a condition of eligibility for unemployment insurance. Claimants are only eligible for benefits if they’ve been laid off through no fault of their own after being employed most of the previous year. 1/
My take: Not only do you lose your job but are treated like a criminal for it. Wouldn't surprise me if red state claimants were made to schedule, pay, then wait for test results before getting benefits. GOP logic: You lost your job, so you are guilty and must be punished. 2/x
