Election Day legal updates: Lawyers from the Advancement Project have asked a state judge in Missouri to direct county election officials to comply with an earlier court order saying voters don't need to present a photo ID (other valid IDs are okay): assets.documentcloud.org/documents/5029…
In Georgia, a Fulton County judge has ordered two polling locations to stay open until 10pm (apologies for the quality of these images, I'm working to get a better copy but they're not available online at the moment)
What else has been going on in court today? A little while ago, voters in Georgia filed a lawsuit to try to stop Republican gubernatorial candidate Brian Kemp from exercising his duties as the state's top election official: buzzfeednews.com/article/zoetil…
Also in Georgia, a judge in Gwinnett County agreed to extend voting hours in three polling locations, one is staying open until 9:25pm, per the Atlanta Journal-Constitution ajc.com/news/local-gov…
In Texas, a judge granted a motion to extend voting times in nine locations until 8pm CST
Earlier today, a lawsuit was filed in Ohio on behalf of eligible voters who were jailed over the weekend, after the deadline to request absentee ballots had passed. Judge granted ballot access for two named plaintiffs, but not statewide relief: buzzfeednews.com/article/zoetil…
One more piece of Georgia legal action to add to the thread, a judge in Fulton County had also extended voting hours at the Pittman Park location until 9pm, per the Advancement Project
