(cont.) 47/ CBF changing the way she describes a living room type area in a house seems to me like the kind of thing that happens with stories about things that actually happened. CBF even offered to draw a house layout, but BK's side didn't want the FBI getting that from her.
48/ If the answer to why CBF would set this up in 2012 is that CBF must just be psycho and so of course this doesn't make sense, I don't think that argument is on very solid ground compared to that CBF was assaulted by BK.
49/ I've seen a lot of arguments to discredit CBF. One is that she was paying back BK because BK's mom ruled against CBF's parents. In reality, in the end BK's mom signed off on a voluntary motion to dismiss. wsj.com/livecoverage/c…
50/ BK's mom being in powerful positions does make me consider what would have happened if CBF had reported an attack by BK in 1982 though. I think a lot of women know what allegations against powerful families tend to lead to.
51/ One person on here told me that CBF was at fault because a 15 year old girl shouldn't have gone into a stranger's house in a bathing suit. When I pointed out that the testimony was that CBF was wearing her bathing suit under her cloths, this person didn't care.
52/ I've seen multiple people claim that the 2nd door on CBF's house proves she was lying because the door was put on before the therapy session CBF mentioned. However, that is what CBF said in her testimony. A long remodel had been completed before the therapy session.
53/ CBF also said that the door worked out because now they use it for Google interns. Some twisted that to claim she lied because the door is used for Google interns. Here is one article pointing out some misinformation about the second door.

54/ I see a lot of tweets claiming that CBF lied about being afraid of flying. I of course don't know the whole story, but her lawyer said that CBF has a prescription for flying, and that they never said she wouldn't fly to give testimony.
55/ I never knew that so many people thought that people who were afraid of flying never fly. Commercial airliners contain lots of people who are afraid of flying.
56/ I also think many people don't understand how anxiety works and that there can be an additive issue, like a cup of water running over. Flying for vacation is likely very different than flying to testify on camera in front of millions.
57/ I realize that an ex-boyfriend says that CBF was not afraid of flying, but the FBI could have checked with CBF's doctors and CBF was the one begging for an FBI interview, which could have landed her in jail.
58/ I saw one lawyer claim that they were sure CBF was lying because she wouldn't turn over her private therapy records to the judiciary committee. This is the same judiciary committee who had released a slut shaming letter about Julie Swetnick.
59/ My understanding is that CBF wanted to talk to the FBI and would have provided them with records. I would have advised that this was a better route than giving them to old guys who I think were trying to find any way they could to help BK, even public shaming of women.
60/ Some may recall that Orrin Hatch claimed that he knew for sure that BK did not attack CBF. Earlier this year OH attacked those accusing Rob Porter. OH seemed to "know" the truth then too.
61/ In the end one woman had pictures and OH ended up writing apology letters to 2 of Rob Porter's ex-wives. It doesn't seem like OH learned anything from that experience though. CBF doesn't have pictures, so OH can continue claiming he knows things he doesn't know.
62/ As far as CBF's testimony differing from what her therapist had written down 6 years before, I think anybody who has ever played the game "phone" as a kid knows that sometimes things get lost when transferred from one person to another.
63/ I've seen people quoting Rachel Mitchell and while I think her take matters, we should keep in mind that she was hired by people who were trying to get BK confirmed. RM said herself that the hearing is not how she would have gone about looking for the truth.
64/ I would like to know if RM would have continued investigating if this had been her case, but I have not seen anything on that from her. A man who was trained by Rachel Mitchell was very upset by what she did.

66/ I don't consider this stuff to be a joke. A woman's life is likely in danger and misinformation about her is not okay. I’m going to go ahead and say something. If you are knowingly spreading misinformation about a woman who is getting death threats, you’re not a good person.
67/ You may already know that, but if you’re knowingly spreading misinformation against a woman getting death threats and you think you’re a good person, I'm saying that you are not. You could become one, but not by continuing that behavior.
