Getting a lot of questions on Seminars and Training. It is a waste of your money and other participants time and money if you attend these if you are at a novice level. You will not learn anything and will probably go back more confused
If you want to learn Options, there are a wealth of Resources on YouTube. Go thru Tastytrade and Options Alpha and learn all the Strategies there. Then open an account and do some small Trades to get a feel for this. Also try to read the classic book by Sheldon Natenberg
Most of it won't make sense to you at first but as you Trade more and more it will begin to. It is only at this stage that attending a Seminar will make sense. So for new Traders I suggest you start by watching the YouTube videos.
In short, learn the Strategies on YouTube or thru the books and attend seminars to see how these are used in real time Markets and how successful Traders react and adjust these as Markets change. Don't put the cart before the horse

Working on adding a few more Strategies to be able to Trade more Capital. The Straddle is something I've somehow never felt comfortable with but this is something I think I can add fairly quickly and I am backtesting it over the last few years on my favorite underlying
I also want to allocate at least 20-30% to Directional Strategies and have started with high Probability Credit Spreads. Doing it with Debit Spreads proving far more challenging. Have read up on many Strategies and attended some Seminars but still lack conviction and confidence
No Strategy works unless you are able to make it your own. This will be a long process for me. I have zeroed down to 3 setups. The next step is to develop and code signals and then testing them first on a simulator and then gradually in live Markets

Is luck important in the road to becoming a successful Trader? I believe that to a great extent it is. Without a huge element of luck I don't think you will ever find a system that connects your belief system with something that makes Money in the Market.
Yes, it still requires hard work but there are many who are far more intelligent than us and who have worked harder who have still not succeeded. Ray Kroc worked hard all his life but had very limited success. He was always on the lookout for new opportunities
But success came only at age 52 when he discovered McDonalds. He was prepared and had worked hard to get the luck but if not for a happy confluence of events he would have died a small time salesman. That's luck. It comes only to the prepared mind-but sometimes it never comes

I'm getting a lot of questions about when the judge's opinion takes effect. Bottom line: nothing changes for now, and nothing will change for some time to come. Here's why.
The judge entered a declaratory judgment, not an injunction. That means the Trump administration and the states are free to keep implementing the ACA. One district court judge's declaration doesn't bind the government nationwide.
What's more, California is going to appeal this decision. And it'll probably seek a stay pending appeal out of an abundance of caution -- though I don't think it technically needs to do so, since there's no injunction in place.

Getting a lot of questions regarding Rosenstein. I'm just going to lay it all out here. Using Q, I'm not sure how folks can continue to consider him a black hat. He's not even a flipped black hat, and neither is Mueller.
In post 151, Q asks how you capture very dangerous animals? Why you confront them head on of course. Start by giving them someone they THINK is one of them and let him loose.
in 342, 461, and 477 we learn Rosenstein has some concerned. The questions related to exactly what and who were being investigated & never answered. [P_Pers], Matlock? How about U1 & the Russia connection? POTUS has all "papers" ? RR, Matlock & Cambell know EXACTLY what happened.

Getting a lot of questions on how it's possible to pull this move with the budget. Let me show you how the sausage is getting made.

I've attached a screenshot of the legislative history of SB 99. The bill itself is just a short, two-pager dealing with auto insurance. #ncpol
What you can tell from this image is that SB 99 passed the senate last year, then passed the house in a slightly different form.

When that happens, a conference committee is appointed to work out the differences between the two bills and then issue a conference report.
That's what started to happen last year. You can see that the house and senate appointed members to a conference committee to work out the differences.

But then nothing happened. The conference committee took no action.

I’m getting a lot of questions from this thread about how to help poor people. I’ll try to answer as best I can in this thread. Feel free to add your own feedback as well, it’s been 12 years since I was poor, I’m sure some things have changed!

Q: “How can we help poor people?”

A: money. Money helps poor people. People are poor because they don’t have enough money. They need money. The world runs on money. Poor people need money. I’m not talking broke people, I’m talking poor people.
When I was poor I managed to get my hands on one of those personal finance books. I did the first few exercises, the budgeting ones, and I couldn’t do anymore. It was all about using your money more wisely. I didn’t have money. There was nothing to move around.
