In part, it involved payments to a social media marketer in Pakistan. Some of them came from Josh Tetrick's company, according to a former employee. propub.li/2C2szHi

Officials at Tetrick’s company say no Hampton Creek funds were paid to the marketer that year, and that an audit confirms this. Tetrick’s involvement in the campaign was in a personal capacity, they said. Tetrick declined to be interviewed.

2) I've been working on this thread, conceptually, for about a month. I had hoped to post it last week, but other things needed to be done, first. I considered posting it yesterday morning, but again, life got in the way.

Then suddenly, my home state Senator, John McCain, died.

ProPublica: Russian oligarch-linked firm that paid Michael Cohen was also represented by long time Trump lawyer Marc Kasowitz. (THREADED)

The same shell company that Michael Cohen used to pay $130K to Stormy Daniels had also received $500K in 2017 from a firm linked to Russian oligarch Viktor Vekselberg.
At the heart of the story is an investment firm called Columbus Nova, which has close links to Renova Group, a conglomerate founded by Russian billionaire Viktor Vekselberg. A Columbus Nova spokesman has said the payments to Cohen were for unspecified investment consulting.

Agree with @secupp on this: When we talk about why conservative Americans distrust the media--why our credibility is so damaged--gun reporting is a crucial part of that story.
Was talking to a gun owner in Louisiana a few months ago about this, and he said: when newspapers report on a car crash, they don't just get the make of the car wrong, or include basic errors about cars and how they work.
