...there was no such thing as social influencers, let alone any kind of opportunity to crowd source/review any kind of (luxury) experience.
...pre-social media, those consumers essentially had NO way to flaunt their appetite for (luxury) experiences, let alone be incentivized by the normal feedback loop of envy & admiration.
