1/ OMG, the end of good times. No more left to do. Where’s the innovation. Shocking news from Apple on revenue, but needs some context.

Maturing or mature markets are not dead markets. The world did not change overnight even with this announcement.

This isn’t this is fine. This is fine but with a circle/slash around it.
2/ Smartphones are the first product that penetrated nearly the entire world from essentially two vendors (“google” and Apple). That itself is shocking.

It means dynamics at play are new to everyone. Predictions about future are tricky when one runs out of untapped customers.
3/ As many like @benedictevans and @asymco shown the growth in iPhone units has been slowing (to shrinking by some measures). That led to stopping the reporting of units from Apple “certainly a sign” as many noted.

You know that work I’ve tweeted about lately that I was really excited about? I’d got to the last (3rd) round, done a ton of documentation and pitch prep, and even spent some of my weekend making them a little bonus data vis. I didn’t get the project. Really gutted. 😞
In my younger life, as a bit of an over-achiever, I spent a lot of my life not failing. The only two memorable things were not getting a medal in an international sports event I was selected to compete in, and that sole A to go with the 9 A*s I got at GCSE level. Hard times 🙄

Credible intelligence suggests June 23rd is going to be a day of significant, engineered disorder in London, far-right relying on the police preparing soft response options due to previous peaceful marches on the remain side. Aim will be to provoke violence and muddy attribution.
For the avoidance of doubt:

Flash points are being created with counter-protests, including proposed gathering in parliament square, along with more extreme proposals of crowd infiltration by provocateurs. This is staged intervention by extremists.
It is not about violence from peaceful protest groups. It’s about a co-ordinated attempt to create violence by other well organised and well funded groups who wish to create new narratives. Against these people, the good and kind folk don’t stand much of a chance.
