@sallamar Serverless is not someone else managing your servers. Serverless is you agreeing that your code doesn't get to depend on long term implicit state. It's not really no physical servers, it's no daemons.

This removes SME load for external ops.

@sallamar @jessfraz @kelseyhightower Clouds can do lots of things to drag your code around from physical node to physical node, and oh they do, but they don't get to change the apparent size of the guest resource, or expand available resources in a semantically meaningful way.
@sallamar @jessfraz @kelseyhightower It *feels* like this has long been a solved problem, the cloud provider just runs more or less VM's.

The problem is granularity. Monolithic daemons keep leaking bits. It's manageable of course, but you know what's better than managing? Not needing to.
