/ O.k, o.k, o.k...listen up! I'm about to tell you why @DriPak, the little-known, family-run company based in Derbyshire, might just be the best business in the known universe...
/ Firstly, and most importantly, @DriPak sells biodegradable, low-impact cleaning products for the masses. This. Is. Very. Important. Why? Brands like Ecover - now owned by @SCJohnson - occupy a niche for the better off in an otherwise environmentally ruinous market...
/ @SCJohnson don't ever see Ecover replacing its vast range of other comparable, but much more environmentally questionable cleaning products, so they're never going to market it to or sell it at a price point for the mass market. Ecover therefore represents no threat.
/ The majority of @DriPak's products, on the other hand, are biodegradable and/or are designed to minimise their environmental impact *AS WELL* as being cheap enough to be available to pretty much everyone. @SCJohnson's approach is cynical, Dri-Pak's is transformative.
/ We're talking £1.50 for 500g of carpet freshening, bin and fridge deodorising, surface cleaning, non-scratch scouring Bicarbonate of Soda...
/ We're talking £2.10 for 250g of multi-purpose, non-toxic, citric acid descaler - dishwashers, kettles, toilet bowls, hobs, the lot. Works best with warm water, but good in a spray bottle, too...
/ We're talking £1.49 for 500g of multi-purpose, non-toxic, Borax Substitute for use as a laundry booster, floor cleaner, disinfectant, and scourer...
/ We're talking £1.39! for 1kg of non-toxic Soda Crystals, for cleaning and deodorising washing machines, keeping sinks and drains fresh and blockage free, removing grease in household cleaning and laundry, and cleaning paths & patios, wooden decking, toilets, and silverware...
/ We're talking £2.99 for 750ml of biodegradable, #palmoil-free, non-toxic, hypoallergenic liquid soap, for laundry, cleaning leather and suede, cleaning wooden and stone floors, and contains no animal products or testing, so is suitable for vegans, too...
/ Descaling and cleaning the kettle with non-toxic and biodegradable citric acid and bicarbonate of soda (with a wee bit of salt). I’m going in...
/ The other amazing thing about Dri-Pak? They take meaningful action against the production of unnecessary plastic, even when that goes against the profit motive...dri-pak.co.uk/making-a-white…
/ *And* @DriPak call out the nonsense of 'eco packaging' and advocate system change, instead of offering neoliberal 'solutions' that deliberately place responsibilities directly on consumers...dri-pak.co.uk/plastic-pollut…
