At the end of another year, I am going to take a moment to again reflect on my 10 most popular (i.e. retweeted) tweets of 2018.

#1 and my most popular tweet ever was an animation helping to connect California wildfires to climate change:
My 2nd most retweeted tweet of 2018 was a map from Climate Reanalyzer showing an exceptional surge of warmth that had brought above freezing air to the North Pole in the middle of Arctic winter, more than 30C warmer than normal for that time of year:
My 3rd most retweeted tweet of 2018 was my animated map showing Berkeley Earth's history of climate change from 1850 to 2017:
My 4th most retweeted tweet of 2018 was an animated map of all the weather stations setting record temperatures in the Northern Hemisphere this summer:
My 5th most retweeted tweet of 2018 was an animation showing to co-evolution of global temperatures and carbon dioxide since 1850 and where we might be headed in the future:
My 6th most retweeted tweet of 2018 was an @ed_hawkins style #ClimateSpiral showing the evolution of temperatures in the Arctic since 1900.
My 7th most retweeted tweet of 2018 was a graphic showing how exceptionally warm Europe was from April to September compared to all previous years since 1850.
My 8th most retweeted tweet of 2018 was a graph from @dmidk showing that the northernmost weather station on Earth, Cape Morris Jesup in Greenland, had a period of above freezing weather in February (~30 C above normal).
My 9th most retweeted tweet of 2018 was a comparison of historical carbon dioxide concentrations and IPCC's business-as-usual IS92a scenario published in 1992.

Despite 25 years of climate warnings today's CO2 is only ~5 ppm less than predicted.
Finally, my 10th most retweeted tweet of 2018 was a graphic pointing out that the Arctic winter of 2017/2018 was the warmest since historical records began in 1900.
For honorable mention, one of my personal favorite tweets on 2018 was a helpful list of 56 twitter accounts that top climate scientists follow:
And lastly, I'll leave a link to 2017's top ten list in case any one is curious:
Happy New Year everyone and best wishes in 2019. #NewYear2019
