The sleeper candidate of 2020 is Kamala Harris. She is going to come on strong next year and folks, I hear what you’re saying about the cop stuff but she is not irredeemable. She can pushed into the right thing and her potential cabinet could be very good.
She’s not my first choice but she’s a very strong candidate. And a lot of good can come of her presidency. She’s been a bit cozy with the usual suspects but he power base arises from a pretty leftist CA bloc. And she’s friendly with the Progessive Caucas, unlike others.
Like or it not, she is one of the few candidates equipped to bridge the gap in the party. And not in a formless way. But it’s going to take pressure if it happens. All I’m saying is she isn’t Biden and there is a DemSoc path forward with her in the White House.
So in short if it comes to down a Southern barn-burner between Kamala and an aggressive centrist, the left needs to suck it up and step up.
