So I've been trying to make sense of this. Looks like Arturo Carmona, who worked fairly high up in the Bernie campaign in '16, is incredibly sexist, but the Bernie campaign did nothing and silenced people. B himself has said nothing.

It's easy to dismiss Masha Mendieta's discussion of her disappointment with Bernie, as her rhetoric is impassioned and angry. But others in the know have called her "brave" for being willing to speak publicly about Carmona.

And she is now saying that she believes Bernie knew, that she has been blacklisted (affecting her career), and that as such, Bernie is not the hero we need.

She was very passionate about Bernie and believed strongly in the revolution he represented until just recently. I am inclined to feel, if he won't speak out about this matter, that she may have a point. I love Bernie and his old-fashioned fire and unionism, like Eugene Debs.
But he needs to represent all of us. All the way. If that feels like nitpicking, well, I do have some other issues with him, including his age (we need someone who can really speak to young people and stay healthy in office), his difficulty with collaboration, and...
the tiny feeling I get at the back of my heart that although he believes deeply in what he's doing, he also believes that he is the ONLY one who can pull it off. Which smacks to me of a small-but-uncomfortable messiah complex.
In any case, it's another item on the increasing stack of vanities I'd like to see burnt. I do want this revolution, but only if it's a clean revolution. Otherwise, it's not a revolution at all.
