Look, if you want to be a bigoted moron who insists on evaluating people based mostly on their skin color, that's on you. Leave the kids out of it.
How about you teach your kids to treat everyone with respect and dignity regardless of their skin color?

Idea that you should punish your kids and shame them based on their skin color so you can score some woke points w/ your political allies is selfish and deplorable.
Think about the level of privilege someone has to have to suggest other people should make decisions that they know aren't what is best for their own kids so that they can satisfy his nonsensical criteria for being good citizens.

This is known as rich liberal privilege.

Again, there is an easy test to differentiate between legitimate criticism of the Israeli government and antisemitism. It's called the 3 D test and was used by the state department until 2017: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3D_test_o…
The 3rd D stands for double standards. If you hold the only Jewish state to a completely different standard than almost every other country in the world, that clearly isn't about simply protesting Israel's policies.

That's why BDS is a transparently antisemitic effort.
If you want to boycott everything related to Israel, but have no similar requirements against Syria while Assad gasses women and children, China while they lock up thousands of Muslims in concentration camps, Palestinians while they support terror etc. then it's antisemitism.

2 issues: 1) Dual loyalty accusations are standard antisemitism. This is part of a long pattern from Tlaib of associating with (Ex: Linda Sarsour), defending (ex: MLH), and promoting antisemitism (Ex; BDS). Dems have a serious issue in their caucus, & media gives them a pass.
2) There are very legitimate criticisms of this bill (not what Tlaib engaged in here).

It's not as clear cut as some pretend. Unpopular speech is protected, but gov't can refuse to do business w companies that discriminate based on religion. BDS is an antisemitic movement.
thus there is a tough balancing act here between protecting the right to protest and allowing companies to circumvent rules against religious discrimination by masking them as anti-Israel. Courts can decide. I would honestly probably oppose the bill bc it can be read too broadly.

If you're going to use the standard of judging a whole group but the worst people who claim to be on the same side, then you better use that standard for both sides.

How many MSM journalists tweeted about AOC being called out for declaring that facts aren't important if you feel like you are morally right?

Now compare that to how many are now tweeting about Hoft posting some article attacking her for using a nickname in college.

The reason why identity politics is so powerful is because we naturally ascribe great power and exception to the state of being a victim. Behavior which would otherwise be inexcusable is excused, such as violence, if it is understood to be enacted in the service of self defense.
This is why "speech is violence" is such a pernicious idea. Why the victimology of identity politics is such a pernicious idea. It reframes every scenario such that you are a perpetual victim, and therefore otherwise inexcusable behavior on your part is perpetually justified.

Thinking this morning about colorism and intersectional oppression and how perilous it is for black women of almost any hue to describe themselves as "light skinned".
I've seen some black women describe themselves as light skinned while acknowledging their color privilege only to have hordes of other black people sneer "She's not REALLY light skinned." It's a kind of bloodsport: policing the liminal boundary between "regular brown" and "light"
"She thinks she's light but she's delusional" is a whole entire genre of black critique that I never see applied to black men. I wonder why this color-contempt and dragging is reserved almost entirely for black women.
