2. If the poll has any truth in it, it becomes clear that the style of govt we run is entirely alien to our native languages and therefore our inate thinking and clearly, there’s nothing in our educational system that attempts to embed this

4. You can’t have a democracy without opposition and while we deceive ourselves that opposition is “good for progress”, the politicians think democracy and election (the means by which you get into power) is WARFARE. When you win a war, you don’t embrace the enemy, do you?

6. From the behavior and language of our politicians, it is clear that Machiavelli’s “The Prince” is the script they choose to run and that CANNOT be progressive for the nation claiming to run a democracy.

10. The results of the poll show why one party stalwart cannot be seen to agree with “opposition’s” position, no matter how brilliant. Such a person is seen as a “traitor”!

12. For progress, we MUST change the thinking. We must define what we want. We must educate the coming generations into tolerance and dialogue. Otherwise, once the fathers bury all the sons, they too will die out and so will the nation.
