@sgyemikale has released the employment numbers amidst the unnecessary & unfounded controversy @GarShehu is attempting to stir. I think it's much more than employment data at stake and here's why:

Short Thread
1. The PVC collection data and the labour force data DO NOT tally and if you consider that there's no political benefit on the labour force but maximum political leverage on PVC data, it's obvious which would more likely be manipulated
2. @nigerianstat data is the we have 90million in the work force and INEC data is that we have about 84million registered voters.

In a thread I did in March, I showed that 14 states have an absurd situation where they have a higher number of registered voters than workforce
3. According to the Nigerian Population commission, we have about 10% of Nigerians in the 15-18 age bracket. Why is this relevant?

Because workforce is between 15-64 and eligible voters is from 18yrs old. If 10% of the workforce of 90m is 15-18yrs, that's 9million
4. This implies that 81million will be the corresponding workforce between 18-64yrs and some how, registered voters matching that age bracket is 81.5million (I adjusted for 65 and above which comes to under 3%).

Can you see where this is going? If you can't let me spell it out
5. According to INEC records, an average figure matching 100% of the corresponding workforce have been registered as voters.

But guess what? we know from INEC/NBS data that 14 northern states have more registered voters than workforce and we must ask...a relevant question
6. If you are not in the workforce and you are not in school, in what demographic do you exist as a voter? and why is the anomaly in as many as 14 states? and why are ALL the states in the north? and not even a single southern state to replicate whatever anomaly threw this up?
7. so, when a few weeks to elections where dollar stuffing politician have promised 5million votes and lions of streets have promised 3million catches, you must see why the urgency and desperation to discredit the only data they are unable to manipulate.
8. and finally, they aren't interested in REDUCING the numbers but instead INCREASING the total workforce by 12million which they want to make believe were omitted.

I hope this is read without any partisan taint for it is what THEY ALL seem to have been doing since independence
9. Nigerians need to thank @sgyemikale for doing his job they way it ought to be done. Now, people like me can analyse numbers comparatively & ask questions.
As I say, I am only asking & if you have answers, i am all ears. Insults will fly, but you will only show your hand. END
