.@glennbeck was a badass back in the day. Maybe when all of those who have had him/family under dire threat for the past # of years are taken down, he can get back to old form & whip out the dueling blackboards. Watching him from 2005-2010 got me woke!

Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House is a head of a co-equal branch of government.

Pelosi *invited* Trump to give the SOTU speech in the House chamber. She was under no obligation—other than tradition—to do so.

As such, she doesn't have to "ask" him to reschedule.
In her letter to Trump, Pelosi makes it abundantly clear she isn't asking Trump to do anything; it's a severe misread if you say otherwise.

She's telling Trump to reschedule until when the shutdown's resolved or to provide a written SOTU, which is the intent of the Constitution.
The SOTU is a national security event under federal law (with good reason as the leaders of all three branches attend).

NONE OF THE PEOPLE RESPONSIBLE FOR PLANNING NATIONAL SECURITY EVENTS ARE GETTING PAID DURING THE SHUTDOWN. We shouldn't strain them further.

2/ The brewery must comply with licensing restrictions placed on it by the government - but it cannot during the shutdown.

Their speech is encumbered, and illegal, if they print the labels as required by law as they won't be reviewed.
3/ Free speech doesn't stop just because the government does.

1) Peter Strzok testified in an open Congressional hearing yesterday. Lisa Page is testifying in a closed session today (and probably Monday.)
