If more people spent as much time obsessing over wrestling as I did when I was a kid, everyone would immediately recognize that Rudy Giuliani is what they call "the Heater."
The Heater's job is to get the big reaction from the crowd to make it easier for the other wrestlers, particularly ones he's aligned with, to play their roles.
So Rudy goes on TV and does the crazy act and then people are like “Can you believe Rudy said The Thing?” And the The Thing comes out and it's easy for Trump to navigate because Rudy already sucked up all the oxygen on it.

Classic Heater.

What's happening to Trump right now is truly breathtaking because it's probably the first time it's ever happened to him in his life.

This wall nonsense is the ultimate comeuppance to a guy who never gave a shit about anything he ever said or promised. /1
To Trump, everything is bullshit, 100% of the time, and he’s been trained to believe that one amount of bullshit can always be counterweighted with a similar amount of bullshit. /2
There are precisely TWO and only two things in which that formulation does not work for him as President:

Appointing conservative pro-life judges and cracking down on immigration. /3

1) These aren’t the recommendations I get when I type this. Prager may have done so much Googling for negative stuff about themselves they’ve “biased” their own recommendations.

2) It’s, uh, not actually proof of “bias” that Google pulls up negative things about your group.
What do they actually think Google is doing, anyway? Hand-coding a bunch of unflattering statements about Prager into the autocomplete algorithm? Because... that’s not how anything works.
Anyway, I’m tickled by the idea that Prager has spent so much time obsessing about their Google results they’ve trained the algorithm to think they hate Prager. It’s either that or they just fabricated that list of results.

Everyone professes to love Orwell, or at least the version
Orwell they see. But this wasn't always the case. There was a time when he wasn't that well known and actually not that popular, particularly on the Left.
One reason I admire Orwell is because I think he would follow an argument to its full conclusion so long as it was arrived at honestly & honourably. Even if he was uncomfortable with it, or it might offend his friends he would stick by it. Sounds easy but its hard to practice.
His critique of Stalinism in the 30s & 40s was very necessary for the left especially as leftists were pressed at the time to support the USSR because its encircled by fascism & capitalist imperialism & you shouldn't criticise it in public because that is giving ammo to the enemy

People spent all this time trying to defend elections from hackers, and in reality the threat was always politicians trying to delegitimize the count.
It is not sufficient for elections to be counted honestly. They must be *seen* and believed to be counted honestly for them to achieve their purpose of peaceful transfer of power.
It's a much easier problem to hold an election honestly than to prove that it was held honestly.

People often fail to recognize cross-disciplinary skills.

Employers are so focused on directly relevant experience (time) that they don't notice what relevant talents a person in a totally separate field brings to the table
I spent so much time explaining why my psychology degrees actually provide qualifications for work in tech. Specifically information architecture.
Much of designing good systems is about understanding how people think. How they process information, how they seek it out, how they interact with the world, what they are likely to need, what motivates them, how they respond to problems.

You notice when these aren't considered.
