Humans don't change because you love them.

Humans change because they love you.

And sorry to break it to you bud.

But if they won't change their toxic ways, they don't love you like that.

This is the main reason people stay in toxic relationships.

'I see what you're saying bro. But why isn't my love enough?'

Because of human nature.

'Huh?'

A behavior is not formed overnight.

It is formed from years & years of:

Experiences
Upbringing
Environment
Repetition

And MANY more variables.

At this point, their behavior is solidified in their subconscious mind.

'English please!!'

That means your love alone is not going to rewire years & years of subconscious programming.

Their behavior is a part of who they are at the core.

The only they can change is if they WANT to change.

And this all ties into the initial tweet.

Your love for them can spark the change, sure.

But ultimately, it will be THEIR love for you that solidifies the change.

The subconscious mind is an emotional entity.

Therefore, love is a strong communicator.

But you know what's a stronger communicator?

'What?'

Fear.

You, my friend, need to give the person an ultimatum.

You have to let them know that unless they change, you will leave.

The ultimatum does 2 things:

1. It puts fear into them because they are made aware that they can lose you.

2. It makes them prove how much they really love you.

That love & fear combo awakens the emotional subconscious mind!

You have allowed them to internalize 2 major emotions.

Results?

▪If they really love you like that, change is inevitable.

OR

▪If they don't really love you like that, then they stay the same.

Now quit pussyfooting!

All you are doing is wasting time.

Give the ultimatum & let the results speak for itself.

If they change for the long term, congrats! You have a winner.

If they change, then they go back to their old ways, congrats! You have spotted the toxic creature.

Now dodge the bullet & dump them.

As the famous saying goes:

'When someone shows you their true colors, don't try to repaint them.'

'Will do bro! Time to place more value on the actions & less on the words.'
