Learn the art of noticing & not being vocal about it.

This is how people who see the game 10 steps ahead, move.

They understand everything doesn't require a response.

Strategic silence is deadly.

This group notices, makes necessary adjustments & keeps it moving.
'Do you have an example of when strategic silences are used?'

Yes.

In spotting human intentions.

'Huh?'

It all begins with 👇
Every human out there has an intention.

Their intentions for themselves are crystal clear.

They want the best for themselves.

But with you?

That's where their intentions get hazy.
Their intentions fall into one of the 3 categories:

▪They are indifferent towards you.

▪They want the best for you.

▪They want the worst for you.
'Why is it important to use strategic silences when spotting human intentions?'

Bc once they are aware that you are observing them, they will be on their best behavior.

Even if that behavior is fake.
Which is why the silence allows you to notice their baseline actions towards you.

Those baseline actions give insights into the persons internal world.
'So wait a minute! Do people know when I'm lying to them?'

A lot of times, socially intelligent people will be able to tell.

They have a great connection with their gut & are fluent in body language.

But they choose not to say anything.....
They want to see how creative you get with your lie.

They want to see why you are lying in the first place.

They are gathering more data about your intentions.

So they remain silent & let you speak on....
Once they have the data, they know how to plan out their next moves.

'Why don't they confront me?'

Why?

So you can lie some more?

Ha!

They don't have that kind of time for a weasel.
But this is just one of many usages of a 'strategic silence.'

It's when a human weighs the pros & cons of a situation, then decides whether words are necessary.

If not, silence will be leveraged.
So go on & give this move a try.

See the game 10 steps ahead.

Play chess while they play tic tac toe.

Congrats, you have just leveled up.
