Gab still brims with hate, celebrations of domestic terrorism, and extremist organizing.

The website is bleeding money but survives thanks to an Obama-era law and the crowdfunding company @StartEngineLA.

@Hatewatch went deep into the site's financials:

There's a lot in here, so I'm going to pull out some specifics. We now know what was already assumed about Gab: Alleged Tree of Life killer Robert Bowers used the websites internal messaging service to plot with other extremists: splcenter.org/hatewatch/2019…
We also have confirmed Gab's host. That's Sibyl Systems LTD.

Sibyl is doing the work of preserving those posts that celebrate Timothy McVeigh, Anders Behring Breivik, and Dylann Roof and helping to give Gab its basic infrastructure right now: splcenter.org/hatewatch/2019…
Torba likes to pitch to investors that he has 850,000 "people" on Gab. He never cites active users. (Twitter, FB, and others do). My former colleagues at @Storyful provided an estimate and the site has... a tiny fraction of that many "people" using it: splcenter.org/hatewatch/2019…
Last thing. And it's something any person who is concerned about domestic terrorism should know.

@StartEngineLA signed a $200K contract with loss-saddled Gab AFTER the Tree of Life terror attack took place. 👀
