Coincidentally, I've been reading an advance copy of @shawnlevy's upcoming book "Castle on Sunset'' about the Chateau Marmont. In a section on one-time resident Perkins, Levy mentions in passing that MGM "didn't care for'' THE ACTRESS and "barely gave it a release.''
