@Vodacom @Lesufi When the deadline has finally come to pass and Vodacom or its lawyers have still not corrected or made good on this unjust treatment, the following following are some of the things that you can do:
@Vodacom @Lesufi If you are a prepaid user, it is very easy to port your existing number to a different network. There are various networks to choose from:
MTN
Telkom
Cell C
FNB
Virgin Mobile
me&you
mrp mobile
Smart Mobile
iSmart
The Unlimited
Afrihost
Hello Mobile
Econet Wireless
iBurst
etc
@Vodacom @Lesufi Once you have decided on a new network provider, It generally costs about R1.00 to purchase a new SIM card. Take you ID and proof of residence to the store selling the SIM card of your new network provider.

Ultimately Vodacom must decide if they wan to #PayMakate or not
@Vodacom @Lesufi To port your prepaid number to Telkom for free, just use the number you want to port, and SMS PORTME#yourIDnumber#ICCIC to 081 160 7678

#PayMakate
@Vodacom @Lesufi To Port your number to MTN. Buy an MTN SIM card.
RICA your SIM card in store (you'll need your ID and proof of residence)
Don't insert your new SIM card yet.
Use your old SIM to SMS 'PORTME#(10-digit MTN SIM number)' to 083 767 8287, e.g., 'PORTME#0954510000'

#PayMakate
@Vodacom @Lesufi To port to Cell C just follow these easy steps:
Buy any Cell C starter pack and do NOT open it.
RICA your SIM card
SMS #portme#serialnumber# (note: this is the RICA serial number of your new Cell C SIM) to 084 767 8287 from your MTN, Vodacom or Virgin Mobile SIM card.

#PayMakate
@Vodacom @Lesufi To port to Virgin Mobile
Buy, RICA and load airtime onto a Virgin Mobile SIM card.
After a successful activation, you will receive a temporary Virgin Mobile number. SMS “PORT ME” from your Vodacom SIM card followed by your newly activated Virgin Mobile number to 30977

#PayMakate
@Vodacom @Lesufi It may be beneficial to also familiarise yourself with the product offering of your new network provider so you enjoy cheaper calls and data costs. Never just use the standard packages. Always look for freebies.

#PayMakate
@Vodacom @Lesufi If you are a contract customer here are some protest actions against Vodacom's inability or refusal to #PayMakate

If your contract is not expiring in the next 3 months, & u are currently spending more than your package, Limit usage to the contract minimum. Don't reward them
@Vodacom @Lesufi If your contract with Vodacom is expiring in the next 3 months and you want to join the protest action against Vodacom for their refusal to #PayMakate, call them or a Voda store to lodge your formal intention to terminate your contract when it expires.

Start shopping around
@Vodacom @Lesufi If you are a top-up contract customer of Vodacom and your contract is not expiring in the next 3 months, but you want to protest against their refusal to #PayMakate here is what to do.

Don't top up. Only use the minimum & use alternative network providers once u exhaust package
