RIP Julie Adams. Most well-known for CREATURE OF THE BLACK LAGOON, I love her in TICKLE ME, the "meta" Elvis movie, where she plays the boss of a "fat farm" in the desert, where Elvis shows up as a stranger looking for work, wreaking HAVOC among the health-obsessed women. 
She plays the boss of the "fat farm". She is in charge. When this guitar-playing rodeo-riding walking-male-sexpot-erotic-muse shows up in her office looking for a job ... well. She may be a boss, but she is also a human being, and ... she too goes bananas for the man.
Every single behind-the-scenes photo from TICKLE ME shows Adams and Elvis engulfed in laughter. TICKLE ME is a self-aware lampoon of the "Elvis formula movie." Elvis even breaks the 4th wall a couple times, staring out at us like "Can you believe the shit they make me do?"
Julie Adams understood genre, how it operated, what was required. She had fun with it. She was charming, and funny, created a believable character (in that ridiculous context), and highlighted him gorgeously, giving him something to play off of. That's a pro. RIP.
