1) The Home Grown School Feeding Program is active in 26 states, feeding over 9 million pupils.

4) N-power Programme: 500,000 Nigerian graduates earning N30,000 across the entire nation to be scaled up to 10 million beneficiaries by 2023.

The stories about Buhari having bought shares in Keystone Bank & Etisalat through proxies, despite claiming he is poor & a man of integrity is not even painful, It is the way they are using the school feeding programme (HGSFP) to enrich the pockets of cronies.

A little background; the APC in 2015 campaigned that if elected they would provide at least one meal a day for schoolchildren at the primary school level. Upon assuming office, however, it was not until a year later that the School feeding programme was launched in June 2016

Akande, who was reacting to news report credited to the group, noted that such an attack on @NSIP_NG is a direct confrontation with the millions of Nigerians benefitting, especially the projected 2m total who will be receiving the collateral-free loans by the end of the year.

Dear Nigerian twitterati, I feel compelled to contribute to the intense debate concerning the value or stupidity of the Nigerian Home Grown School Feeding Program. I hope to lay out what I do know, based on some of the best available evidence.
There are fundamental concerns I cannot address. For example, I may not be able to convince you if you already believe that social welfare programs are evil or stupid. Also, If your preferred positions are guided by your politics, I may not also be able to help. That said . . .
We know from nationally representative surveys that more than 20% of Nigerian children are malnourished. In the Northeast and Northwest, the prevalence is as high as 50%. bit.ly/2qoldY6

The Home Grown School Feeding initiative is a movement driven by national governments to improve the lives of schoolchildren and farmers. It is practised in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Mali, Ethiopia, Namibia, Botswana, Ivory Coast, SA, Brazil, Japan, Italy and other countries.
At the Baptist Nursery and Primary School, Abeokuta, Ogun State, the cooks with aprons on top of their gowns ladle porridge mixed with vegetables and fish into hundreds of stainless steel bowls with lids. As the cooks ambled into a nearby classroom, the pupils remained quiet.
