My mother-in-law teaches fifth grade and somehow one of her students got very interested in North Korea this year. She asked me if I'd answer a few short questions. I said yes, of course, and man did this kid hit on some very important questions here! 
Ok. Here’s how I answered. I’m a pedagogical novice and have no idea if this is at a fifth grade level, but I did my best. Probably needed a tl;dr.
...as long as the kid doesn’t grow up to be a Counterforce Cowboy, I’ll consider my job done.
