I want to tell you something. I asked God what my name is and He told me. It is Abana and it means "I will build."
This is Hebrew word 71 and has a value of 58- the same value as grace. It also means stony.
I will build upon the rock of salvation, Jesus Christ!

Given everything that is flying around with respect to the accusations being leveled at Brett Kavanaugh, I want to take a few moments to point out some things that people might not like.

And not liking these observations has nothing to do with politics.

It's about being human.
Human consciousness, identity, ego and the mechanics of memory all intertwine in ways that are not fully understood by anyone... but there are some things that have been learned along the way.

And they're not pretty. They're hard to hear, and harder to accept, but they're true.
One of the hardest ideas to really and fully internalize is the notion that your memory is not what you think it is. It turns out that, what we think of as a "memory", is almost always a reconstruction of what we think 'must have happened'.

It's a story that our brain tells us.

A thread about cyclical hatred. I was recently in rural Virginia, which has historically been a solid red region of the country. The town I was visiting is overwhelmingly poor and white. Trump signs were on almost every lawn and casual racism is an everyday occurrence there.
I happened to meet a little girl of eight years old on my visit. Upon first glance, she was a badly behaved child. She was clearly rebellious, lied compulsively and was always in trouble for fighting with other kids. But I took some time to sit and talk with her.
She told me transparently made-up stories of how she beat up a teacher who was mean to her and declared dramatic martial victories over her schoolyard nemeses. It was clear to me that she was in a lot of pain and acting out, so I didn’t confront her about her lies.
