It's incredibly alarming to see @realDonaldTrump declare a national emergency as a political card to try to get this racist wall. The Democrats need to stop playing his game. He is not looking for a deal.
He has single handedly manufactured a humanitarian crisis at the border that a wall will only exacerbate. For decades asylum seekers have found safety here when fleeing persecution.
Trump using a national emergency to get his wall is another nail in the coffin of the idea that America is a world leader.
